The best place for up-to-date trail info is on the CTF website:
The CTF folks are also excellent about answering any questions you may have via their FB page.
Even if you do not have a FB account, you can still view the page for updated info.
Though the trail is currently not affected, there are fire bans in place for roughly the first six segments.
No open flames in the backcountry. White Gas or canisters stove strongly implied to be the only legal backpacking stoves during such bans.

Only UL approved stoves with an on/off valve are legal. This means alcohol stoves are illegal.
