Has anyone read Cheryl Strayed’s book? Should I shell out $13 for it?

Yes, its a very good read. Even my non-hiker friends liked it. Its not strictly about hiking but she is a very good writer.

I did read as much as all the big online sellers would allow through “Look inside this book”, and I wanted to read more. So yep, at some point, I’ll pick it up.

I thought Strayed’s book was one of the best trail books I ever read!~J.

I got it from the library and couldn’t finish it. I couldn’t identify with her at all.

Ok I think I’ll go for it. Someone had lent me Cactus Eaters and it wasn’t really my jam, but I liked Bill Walker’s books about the AT and PCT. It would be nice to get a woman’s perspective now.

Did you get it? I loved this book. Pretty harrowing personal stuff, but she also made me laugh a lot.
