Besides hiking, what would be the lowest cost way to get to the south rim of the GC, from Williams Jct.?

I take it when you say Williams Jct. it means your coming in by train? You get picked up there by a bus and brought 4 miles into town and dropped off at the Grand Canyon Railroad hotel. There is 2 ways to get to the park. One $$$$$$$$$$$$ is the train whih is 2 hours senic but not cheap then there is the local bus service which is about 1/2 the cost of the train and lots faster.
The #is 800 766 7117, called Open Road tours there is a 2nd one called Flagstaff express at 800 563 1980… i think its a little cheaper but not sure if it comes to williams every day as well…
Remember too you have to pay for entrance into the park so if you have a golden age pass bring it along and you save money…

Try the Keyah Hazaani Tours. It’s just one Navajo guy named Vincent Yazzie who runs it out of Flagstaff, but it’s the cheapest way to the Canyon from Flag or Williams. Support this guy he isnt’ the big corporate taxi like open roads. Just a nice guy with a van who knows everything about Northern Arizona and will let answer some questions about the area that Open roads wont. Really hard hitch hiking around Flag or Williams. I usually wait like two hours for a ride.
