Winter trip (seg 1-3)

We are planning on backpacking the first 3 segments over the holidays. Any idea on if water will be available of the streams and lakes will be frozen?

The plan is to start in Roxborough State Park (easier for our shuttle person to drop us there than at Indian Creek) and first night at the Bear Creek crossing (10-11 miles?). Next day load up on water at the Platte River crossing and camp after the climb (12-15). Day 3 would be somewhere around Buffalo creek 14ish). Finishing up at Rolling Creek Trailhead (4-8).

I doubt there will be enough snow to melt and I’m wondering if I need to bring an ax to chop through the ice on the creeks.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
