Hi Di, I just did a search on Google for “women’s hiking clubs” and got several good hits. Don’t know where they are in relation to you but they might help.

Di, there’s a great group of women at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/womenhikers/ . You have to put in a request to join but I’ll send the moderators a note to let you in ASAP. The list is mainly devoted to AT hiking, and has some very knowledgeable ladies. Hope this helps!
