I thought this was hokey, but i had some friends who swear by it. They gave me some and i did some quick looking into it. Decent calorie/weight ratio. Tastes good, easy to add to other things. Healthy. I can get it at the co-op, and i'll use them for my next long backpack.

...."blueberry slump".....(my idea for incorporating blueberries and chia into our trail diet....thanks to my daughter!)....in a sandwich-size baggie (or freezer bag ) mix together 1/2 cup freeze dried blueberries (we get them cheap at a commissary here in georgia) and they are really good!)....2 tbsp white chia seeds (also at the commissary).....sprinkle of real salt....1 tbsp evaporated cane juice sugar....and 2 tbsp powdered milk......when you get into camp add 3/4 - 1 cup cold spring water and let it "set" in the baggie till "dessert" time (30 minutes)....yum!....sweet!....refreshing!.....good for you!....(and very little weight to carry!) :-)
