Hey all, just an update from Xena and Bloody Cactus:

Our new little hiker came into the world on June 15th at 4:43 pm. He weighed 8lbs, 3ozs and was 22inches long. He’ll have long hiking legs before long!

Hope everyone is well!

We just had our own 6 months ago. He’s already been backpacking for three days and also hiked the Franconia ridge (okay, slept while Dad carried him…).

It’ll be a little while before he can go in a backpack, but definitely check out the Sherpani backpack. We love ours, and so doesn’t Granger… For hiking before he could hold his head up, we put him in a front carrier sling, Moby the was brand we used, and it worked like a charm!

Have fun, and good luck with the sleeping… sigh… I remember when we got to take naps and sleep for 8 hours straight…

Wow, congrats you two! BC, it’s a long way from the London meeting a few years ago… I’m still out hiking, will be doing the CT this fall.

Good luck with the little hiker!

That is awesome! Keep up the good work. We need the next generation of trail hikers. It was great thinking back to you two and hiking the AT. Mailar

Xena and BC, I never met you, but heard of you from other hikers and from that famous picture that often appears on the TJ home page. I think it’s awesome you two met on the trail and that now there is a little BC in the world. Cheers.:cheers
Gravity and Danger, I did meet you at Crawford Notch. I was doing trail magic after my hike, but your brother? was there, so you two were all set. Congrats on your little one too.
Mailar, HI!!! I thought of you (and LK) yesterday. I was on Franconia Ridge in the rain singing “Tomorrow”.
