For the ADZPCTKO Silent Auction, I made a special version of my book. It’s basically the same as the normal book, except it’s got color pictures and it’s spiral bound. The pictures were contributed by several different hikers and really complement the text nicely. I’m pretty proud of how it turned out!!
If you didn’t see the book, it’s a coffee-table type book. I personally wouldn’t recommend using this version to carry in your pack on the trail, but it is a nice book to add to a collection of hiking books. I had several requests to purchase this special version of the book, but of course I only made two: one for the Silent Auction and one for the Saufley’s. It was hard to part with the only two copies I printed.
Approximately 15 people expressed interest at the Kick Off. If anyone out there in TrailForums land is interested in a color picture version of the book, please email me off-list. I’ll see how many people are interested, then get a quote on printing, then email you back to see if you’re still interested. I won’t know the price until I find out how many people are interested. Printing costs decrease as quantity increases.
This will probably be a one-time color printing. It probably won’t be offered again in the future.
