In TJ I’ve seen a couple of references to a yurt located on the CT open to hikers. Near as I can determine, segment 22 mile 8.6. True?

There is a yurt close to 22-8.6. It’s to the north of the CT located in some trees located prior (east) to the summit of Camp Trail. I don’t know if it’s open to hikers, but it was unlocked when I was on the CT a couple of weeks ago. They were still working on the yurt (it wasn’t completely finished), but certainly usable. There is a family of porcupines living under the yurt. SJ Ron

Yes it is open to the hikers. I stayed there a week and a half ago. There is a stove, fireplace and 3 bunks and 4 cots. It is a memorial yurt for the founders of the CT. If your southbound you can miss it. When your close to mile 8.6 and walk into a clearing, look back over your right shoulder. It’s nestled part way on the hill. It’s an awesome place to stop at. Don’t forget to sign the register.
