Zrest vs Zseat, Question

Backcountry sent me the zrest short instead of the zseat I ordered. I only paid for the zseat. Should I just keep this and use it for sleeping and sitting outside. It only weighs 3 more ozs. than the z seat. Currently I use a Big Agnes REM self inflating. I am on the East coast in ATL and they are in Oregon, I leave in a week for my big hike of the year. Please chime in, your thoughts. BTW I am six foot so the short z rest would leave my lower legs off of it.

not sure how much you spent on your zrest, but if you are into changing gear around to decrease weight and increase functionality, why not cut the zrest in half and then you’ll have two seats one for you and one for a friend. I was lucky to find a piece of a zrest in a hiker box that was 3 sections long, perfect enough for me to use as a seat, and when I slept in the shelters I used it under my hips so the floor didn’t hurt as much.

Only spent $13 on the zrest, thinking of using it for both sleeping and as a seat, seeing as it’s the summer anyway, and I will be bringing my summer bag, not my big agnes 15degree bag, but I did think about cutting it down.

I ordered some $8 socks on sale and received a $70 shirt plus the socks. No question in my mind, the shirt went back. HYOH.
